The Employment Rights Act 2025: A Practitioners Guide

A PRACTICAL GUIDE FOR LEGAL ADVISERS, EMPLOYERS AND HR PROFESSIONALS

A practical guide to the Employment Rights Act 2025 for UK law firms and corporate HR and legal teams. It provides detailed analysis of the major reforms—including unfair dismissal, contractual probation, guaranteed hours, shift rights, harassment prevention, collective redundancy, fire and rehire, trade union law and the Fair Work Agency—together with worked scenarios and practical implementation guidance. The guide clearly distinguishes current legal obligations from reforms awaiting commencement or further regulations.

Legal publishing since 1990

From the team that turned legal insight into practical titles

The Lex HR team has founded, edited and led some of the best-known information businesses serving law firms — and many of the titles they launched were the first of their kind for the profession. Lex HR Publications applies that same editorial standard to employment law and HR, now backed by the Lex HR research base.

Licence, delivery & refunds

Your licence

Every purchase is licensed to a set number of named users within the buying organisation — one user on a single-user licence, or the stated number on a team licence. Licensed users may read the PDF, print a copy for their own reference, and quote short extracts with attribution. You may not resell it, publish it, or share the file with anyone outside the licensed users. Enterprise-wide licences covering a whole firm are available on application — email David Kekwick, Publisher of Lex HR Publications, at david@lexhr.ai.

Delivery

After payment you go straight to a download page, and the same secure link is emailed to you. Links expire 30 days after purchase and allow a limited number of downloads — if yours expires, contact us and we'll reissue it. Pre-publication orders are charged at the time of order and the link is emailed on release day.

Refunds

As these are digital downloads, the right to cancel ends once the file has been downloaded. Pre-publication orders can be cancelled for a full refund at any point before release.

Not legal advice

Lex HR publications are practical guidance for HR and people professionals and for the lawyers who advise them. They are not legal advice and do not create a solicitor-client relationship. Always take advice on the specific facts of a matter before acting.
